Meanderings offers an in-depth look at the work of Ecuadorian-born, New York–based painter Patricia Avellan. Centered on her sustained exploration of line, which balances drawing rigor and gestural freedom, this book traces her journey back to her earliest color experiments, revealing a practice shaped by introspection and resistance to convention. With an essay by curator Monica Espinel and excerpts from an extended interview, the book intertwines critical reflection with the artist’s voice. Each copy comes with a serigraph signed and hand-intervened by the artist.
